Gary

Gary works with an exceptional level of professionalism and maintains a track record of consistent delivery beyond expectations. With a high level of client focus and productivity, Gary has managed extensive business transformation projects; and is frequently recognised for his effective management of people, processes and policies.

His expertise centres on negotiation and both verbal and written communication. He has also lectured to management students in tertiary educational institutions; and managed human resources (HR) projects through the full range of the development lifecycle. His ability to work directly with academics, board members, CIOs, line managers and operational staff, demonstrates extraordinary flexibility.

Gary’s strengths include managing and leading transformation in student administration, HR and finance projects. Additionally he is skilful in large scale change management initiatives including process improvement, cost benefit analysis and management reviews.

Gary’s professional career shows two distinct stages, the first of these holding positions such as Accountant, Financial Controller, Consultant and National Product (Superannuation) Manager. During this time, he:

  • Managed accounting and finance departments in a range of industries including importing, manufacturing and distance education;
  • Conducted analyses and recommendations for company mergers and acquisitions;
  • Managed large process and staff decentralisation projects; and
  • Provided advice to large Australian public companies on superannuation and employee benefits.

The second stage of Gary’s professional career was spent in academia, where Gary:

  • Initiated and managed multiple end to end process reviews;
  • Managed a large faculty with an annual budget of $60M and 200 FTE academic and professional staff;
  • Initiated and implemented the deployment of several technological solutions to increase efficiency; and
  • Managed an administration team of 50+ FTE professional staff in marketing and web, finance, IT, HR and student administration.

His 17-year tenure as the longest serving Faculty General Manager in Macquarie University’s history was the pinnacle of his 40-year professional career.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University and Lean Six Sigma Foundations certification.

Ana

A skilled problem solver, Ana’s achievements include:

  • The creation of a framework to improve deal origination and evaluation in private equity in Australia.

Linda

Sharon’s achievements include:

  • The successful development and implementation of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) for a centralised reservation department at a multinational car rental organisation.
  • Standardising processes and procedures relating to ticket ordering and sales administration for a multinational tour operator.

She has also fulfilled roles as change agent, consultant and technical writer to tertiary education and aged care institutions.
